And the Golden Turkey of the Year award goes to….. Telekoms Malaysia!

How long should it take to repair a home phone line? Well in our case it took nearly 8 days! The problem started last Wednesday when our Streamyx just died around 5 in the evening. When hubby came back from work, he discovered that our phone line was not working as well. So we called up my sis-in-law to help us report the problem, and was glad to hear that it would be fixed within 24 hours (hah!)

After 3 days and numerous phone calls they rang up on Saturday and claimed the line was fixed but we insisted that it was still down. Finally we found out 2 days later, on Monday morning, that the line had been fixed but they had mistakenly connected it to our neighbour’s phone line instead of ours. Even after we figured out the problem, we had to continue to bug them for over 2 days until the technician came to check out the connections at the telephone pole. It took him only 5 minutes to fix it and our phone line is working again. Thank goodness our Streamyx line is up and running as well.

A well deserved award for your case! Back at home in Sibu, my MIL seems to have many problems with her phone line (we have separate phone). I seem to have less that little irritations. Even so, it’s always fixed within 24 hours!

Previously we have never had so many problems getting a faulty line fixed, usually within 24 hours. Standards are definitely slipping lol!

i am certain this is not TM’s only Turkey, neither is TM the only GLC deserving of this award.
