Bad comic book medicine

When was the last time you read a comic? Remember your Marvel/DC comics, the superheroes like Superman, Fantastic Four (or was it Five?), Green Lantern (remember that one?), Wolverine and what not. Believe it or not, some still not only do, they spot the glaring medical mistakes much like you can spot them in the medical TV dramas these days. Polite Dissent has a funny post on The Worst Comic Book Medicine of 2006

Perhaps Comic Book publishers should now hire medical consultants so they won’t make mistakes like calling the vena cava an artery?

I didn’t even know there was a Spider Woman, or that she allegedly had a Breast Implant (is that what gave her her “super powers”? LOL)
