Health Ministry warns consumers about Kintop Kapsul
posted in - Fraud watch, - Palmdoc |The Health Ministry has issued a warning to the public: Don’t Buy Or Sell “Kintop Kapsul” Medicine.
This is yet another incidence of a “herbal” product actually laced with powerful pharmaceutical ingredients which may be harmful if consumed by unsuspecting people. Sibutramine is a prescription only item and can have harmful effects on the cardiovascular system if not properly monitored.
We have warned you time and time again of such fraudulent activity in the Malaysian herbal industry. Companies happily display the MOH approval sticker but that only proclaims their herbal/traditional product was free of toxic or controlled ingredients for the samples submitted to the MOH. What happens after that? The crooks then have been known to add in more powerful ingredients and unless the MOH monitors them carefully (which they don’t – they seem to only act on complaints), this thing will continue.
I think fines are not enough. These crooks are endangering the health of the public. Their businesses should be shut down, licenses taken away and there should be compulsory jail term imposed.

So far, all they do is confiscate, fine. The crooks keep doing it again and again.
