Another new toy

You’ll be surprised how many colleagues were interested in this after I racuned showed them. 9 doctors in my hospital bought the unit! I guess we travel alot and it would be very useful to have GPS units when in unfamiliar territory.
I’d feel pretty confident with this device if I have to take a drive to places like new hospitals e.g. driving from PJ to Hospital Ampang.
OK I admit it, it should be “what every male doctor needs”, since we don’t ask for directions

congratulation palmdoc! haven’t try the nuvi interface, is it better than mapking G10 interface?

Haven’t tried mapking before so I can’t say. I guess others in the Malsingmaps forum might know better. I think DocTamil would know.

NiaM*h, kena racun alreadi. the cable seems to be dangling before the dashboard. why not place the unit in the center?

Heheh. Yeah, I should organise the cable a bit better. The battery life seems quite good so I only have to charge it occasionally.

We bought a car which comes with GPS. And it’s not very reliable. It hangs every so often and sometimes it just goes a little cuckoo. And it doesn’t work in tunnels either, which isn’t good when one is trying to get into the city in Singapore.

Not all GPS units and maps are the same. Personally I think Garmin and Malsingmaps rocks!!
