Wearing stilettos could boost your sex life

It’s not about men finding stilettos sexy, it’s about stilettos allegedly helping a woman’s sex life.
It’s perhaps another candidate for an IgNobel Award IMHO.
Dr Maria Cerruto, a Urologist from the University of Verona did research in this area, ostensibly because she claims she “adores high-heeled shoes and wanted to find something positive about them” (Story link).
The study involved 66 women under the age of 50. Dr Cerruto discovered that women who held their feet at a 15-degree angle to the ground, the equivalent of a two-inch heel, showed up to 15 per cent less electrical activity in their pelvic muscles.
This suggests the muscles are more relaxed with higher heels, increasing their strength and ability to contract.
Dr Cerruto added: “Women often have difficulty in carrying out the right exercises for the pelvic zone and wearing heels could prove to be the solution.
“Like many women, I like high-heeled shoes, and although they are sometimes uncomfortable I continue to wear them in an effort to appear more slender and taller.
“It’s good to know they have potential health benefits.”
I think it is far fetched to extrapolate this and claim:
High-heeled shoes not only tone the legs and strengthen the pelvic muscles, but they “directly work the pleasure muscles which are linked to an orgasm
It certainly calls for a randomised controlled clinical study to ascertain this point. I did a Pubmed search for Cerruto as author but could not find a relevant article so I can’t say if this news item is fake.
Anyway I think stilettos are dangerous. Sexy maybe but dangerous. If you watch how wobbly the gait is when women wear stilettos, you’ll appreciate that they are likely to have a higher tendency to twist their ankle or fall.
