Dengue: a real or phoney war?

posted in - Nation, - Palmdoc |

We’ve had years and years of a dengue endemic in our country. Now we are also plagued with Chikungunya which is also transmitted by the Aedes mosquito. We’ve heard and read similar noises before so it’s no surprise to read that a “War on dengue” has been declared by the Health Ministry. Fogging won’t be a permanent solution since it only kills the adult mosquitos, and indeed the authrities acknowledge the problem is that there are too many breeding grounds for Aedes.
Unless everyone gets serious, I am inclined to think LKS is right and all this is just lip-service and indeed a Phoney war

MMR Posts on Dengue

The CPG on Dengue 2nd Edition which Jimbo mentioned still hasn’t been uploaded to the MOH or Academy websites (at least I searched and couldn’t find them) - I give the people in charge of uploading the e-version of the guideline a big FAIL.

Please follow this link for the CPG:

It is there, just that MOH website is a screw up just like MOH itself.
